Centr x HYROX Limited Edition PHX_26 Collection Review

When I first saw the Centr x HYROX Limited Edition PHX_26 Collection, it immediately stood out. Not because it reinvents the wheel, but because it takes something that already works—HYROX competition equipment—and gives it a completely different look and feel.

This isn’t just another equipment drop. It’s a limited release built around the Elite 15, with only 750 units available worldwide . That alone tells you this is aimed at a very specific audience—people who are already deep into HYROX training or want something unique in their gym.

After digging into the collection, here’s my full breakdown.

First Impressions: Clean, Premium, and Different

The biggest thing that jumps out is the white and black colorway. It’s a sharp departure from the typical all-black or color-coded competition gear.

From the images and product layout:

  • Matte white bodies
  • Black handles and accents
  • Minimalist branding

It looks more like high-end boutique gym equipment than traditional functional training gear.

And honestly, it works.

This is the kind of setup that immediately elevates the look of a garage gym or studio space.

What’s Included in the PHX_26 Collection

Based on the release, the collection includes:

Competition Octo Kettlebell (32kg shown)

  • Same octo design used in HYROX
  • Black handle with white body
  • Competition-grade build

Competition Sandbags (20kg / 30kg)

  • Multi-handle design
  • Durable outer shell
  • Designed for carries, cleans, and lunges

Wall Ball (6kg shown)

  • Textured grip surface
  • Reinforced stitching
  • Standard HYROX spec

All of this is performance-engineered equipment already used in HYROX events, just repackaged into a limited edition aesthetic.

Performance: No Gimmicks, Just Proven Equipment

This is where the collection really shines.

Centr didn’t try to reinvent anything here. They took:

  • Proven HYROX equipment
  • Kept the same specs
  • Changed the finish

That’s a good thing.

Kettlebell

The octo design is already one of my favorites:

  • Doesn’t roll around
  • Stable for floor work
  • Comfortable for carries

The black handle + white shell combo is purely visual, but the grip and feel should be identical to the standard version.

Sandbags

If you’ve used HYROX sandbags, you know:

  • They’re awkward (in a good way)
  • Force real-world strength
  • Handles give versatility

This is functional training at its best.

Wall Ball

Nothing fancy here, but that’s the point:

  • Consistent bounce
  • Durable construction
  • Built for high-rep work

Limited Edition Factor: Real or Just Marketing?

This is where things get interesting.

They’ve capped the collection at 750 units globally .

That’s actually pretty rare in fitness equipment.

Most “limited editions” aren’t really limited. This one appears to be:

  • Made-to-order
  • No refunds or cancellations
  • Restricted availability

So from a collector standpoint, this has real value.

From a training standpoint?
It’s the same gear.

Who This Collection Is For

This isn’t for everyone.

You’ll want this if:

  • You compete in HYROX or train for it
  • You want your gym to stand out visually
  • You appreciate limited edition gear
  • You already planned to buy this equipment anyway

You probably don’t need this if:

  • You just want the cheapest functional training gear
  • You don’t care about aesthetics
  • You’re not doing HYROX-style workouts

Pros

  • Unique white/black colorway (looks incredible)
  • Same proven HYROX competition equipment
  • Limited to 750 units worldwide
  • Elevates the look of any gym
  • No compromise in performance

Cons

  • Likely more expensive than standard versions
  • Limited availability (hard to get)
  • No functional upgrade over regular equipment
  • White gear may show wear faster

My Honest Take

This is one of those drops where you have to separate need vs want.

Do you need this collection?
No.

Do you want it?
Probably.

From a performance standpoint, you’re getting:

  • The same HYROX-tested equipment
  • The same durability
  • The same training experience

From a branding and aesthetic standpoint, though, this is a completely different level.

And if you’re someone who:

  • Films content
  • Runs a premium gym
  • Or just takes pride in your setup

This collection hits.

Final Verdict

The Centr x HYROX Limited Edition PHX_26 Collection is not about performance upgrades—it’s about presentation, exclusivity, and owning something different.

It’s clean, it’s limited, and it’s built on equipment that already works.

If you’re already in the HYROX world, this is an easy upgrade.

If you’re not, you’re paying extra for aesthetics—but they are really good aesthetics.
