Manfrotto Pixi Mini Tripod Review
The PIXI is Manfrotto’s entry into a very small compact tabletop tripod. The PIXI replaces the Manfrotto MTT2-P02 mini tripod and comes in a more elegant and interesting package.
The PIXI is designed as a small portable tripod for use with compact cameras, including pocket cameras like the Sony RX100, mirrorless cameras like the Sony A7iii, entry level DSLRs and phones like the iPhone and Androids.
Vloggers will find the Monfrotto PIXI MINI tripod super comfortable in the hand when the legs are folded inward and super easy to setup on a table or other level surface.
I had planned to do an unboxing of the Manfrotto Pixi Mini Tripod, but I got a bit excited and threw away the packaging. Anyway you’re not missing much as the packaging wasn’t anything special and didn’t really come with anything of note.
Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod Review
The PIXI MINI is a lightweight, compact tabletop tripod that is very portable and accessible on the go. It’s super elegant design and simplicity makes it quick to use and quick to setup. The PIXI comes in various colors including Red/Grey, Pink/Grey, White and Black.
The PIXI includes a standard 1/4 inch screw attachment supported atop a ball head with a rubber camera pad.
1/4 inch screw for mounting a camera or accessories
The PIXI comes with a 1/4 screw for mounting. It also has a nice rubber surface to eliminate camera movement once attached.
The Ball head has ridges rather it being smooth.
The ball head is released and locked using a push-button mechanism. Press the button in to unlock and swivel the head to the desired position and release to lock the ball head into place. The Ball Head can be rotated 360° and provides a 35° tilt range. I found that while the ball head can be moved around, it is a bit tight and certainly isn’t is as smooth compared to other ball heads I have used, like the Manfrotto XPRO BHQ2 .
Each Tripod leg has rubber feet.The rubberized feet have great grip and seem to hold the tripod in place without issues.
Mounting a camera on the Manfrotto PIXI Mini is really straight forward. Simply connect the tripod to the bottom of a camera in screw it in. The camera will need to have a 1/4 inch attachment hole, which most cameras have.
Smart Phones and Gopros
Using the Manfrotto Universal Smart Phone adapter you can easily mount a smartphone to the PIXI.
For those who are GoPro users, GoPro has a 1/4 inch tripod mount that also works with the PIXI.

VERDICT
The Manfrotto PIXI Mini ticks a lot of boxes, but I am not sure it’s would be your ultimate table top tripod. Manfrotto also makes the PIXI EVO 2-Section Mini Tripod, which is slightly bigger, but offers a bit more flexibility.
That said the PIXI certainly is stylish and has a really sleek design that works. It’s super easy to use and packs up taking up almost no room.
If you’re looking for a quick and easy table top tripod, the Manfrotto PIXI Mini might just work for you.
